Berlin: While Chancellor Heinrich Bruening’s tax
increase proposals continue to meet with much public opposition, the German
public is said to be pleased with the independent bilateral discussions going
on between industrialists and labor unions on cutting prices and pay wages in
tandem to spur the economy.
